The rhythm of the house has changed this week. Master B is far, far away, on a school excursion so Miss B is Queen of the house for the week.
One of Queen B's favourite pass times is baking so today she took advantage of her Mother-in-waiting's full attention and she indulged...
Is there anyone in your house who has a passion for baking? I am definitely going to nurture this interest as I fully encourage and support the baking (and eating) of cake!

I am linking with Wordless Wednesday over at My Little Drummer Boys
How cute! I think it is lovely that your daughter enjoys baking. My daughter did too when she was little. She is 19 now. She seems to get very domesticated in the cooking department ONLY when the boyfriend is visiting nowadays, but she is busy with uni work and stuff. I miss my kids being little. Enjoy! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice thing to be able to do together. Thanks for visiting :)
DeleteVery sweet. I used to love baking when I was little and my boys do to. Mostly they like licking things!
ReplyDeleteLicking the spoon and bowl is the best bit Michelle!
DeleteWho doesn't love a cupcake with sparkles. I have a princess who likes to bake too. Making the most of teacher her.
ReplyDeleteMy aim is to work our way up to cheese cakes and pavlova and such! Hopefully she is better at it than me, then I can just put in orders Annaleis!
DeleteI love baking with my oldest but it's hard when younger brothers 2 and 4 want to join in!
ReplyDeleteI hear you Emily! That is why it was a treat (for us both) this week as Miss B is the only one here :)
DeleteI would always be encouraging a little baking Kate! Although, I must admit I find baking with 1 junior baker far easier than baking with 2 junior bakers x
ReplyDeleteMe too Jane xx
DeleteMiss 17 has adored baking from practically before she could walk! It's great though not so good for my waistline these days ;-)
ReplyDeleteI hear you Janet. We are sticking to things I can send out of the house in the lunchboxes (NOT MINE) at the moment!
DeleteI love cup cakes, I have a lemon sour cream recipe that I will be making for Fathers Day xxxx
ReplyDeleteThat sounds delicious Rae!
DeleteMy boys like to help and lick the bowl. Oh what delicious fun.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed Trish! That's the best bit ;)
DeleteMy 3 year old loves cooking! She has almost mastered rolling out and cutting pasta (last batch hers was better than mine)... Love the sparkle cakes YUMO!
ReplyDeleteOh well done. A master chef in the making!
Deleteboth my kids love baking! I need to work more with my son to get him baking alone. He's six, surely he can do a batch of biscuits without help and maybe even on demand. School holiday project I reckon.
ReplyDeleteI love the little cupcake cases or patty pans or whatever you call them. stripey.
The patty pans are cute aren't they? I would certainly be working towards biscuits on demand :)
DeleteI would be nurturing it too. I'd love someone else in the house who can cook the yummy food :)
